Hello,
I am a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC) and am writing about current Canadian immigration policies here:
Express Entry: It will resume in July, 2022. If the Bill C-19 becomes law, the minister will have the authority to establish a category based on economic needs and a candidate from that group will be invited to apply for permanent residency. Also, tier categories will be implemented later this year and truck drivers will be eligible for express entry under the new tier category. Our firm can also help you create your Express Entry profile. I have posted all the details regarding express entry on the page below. Please visit to keep up to date with recent express entry information.
LMIA: Due to a worker shortage, the Canadian government has simplified rules for businesses to apply for the LMIA application. The cap percentage for hiring temporary foreign workers has increased and more restrictions have been lifted.
PGWP (18-month open work permit extension): The policy agreed by the minister has not yet been implemented by the minister, however, it was expected to reach mid-June. I hope it comes soon. Like our page below to be updated for policy arrival.
Permanent residency for temporary foreign workers: Motion 44 was recently passed in the House of Commons, therefore, the Minister is bound to develop a policy and issue publicly within 120 days. We can expect the new program as the minister has said it will not be like last year's TR to PR pathway program.
Super Visa: Government extends entry time period by 5 years keeping in mind family reunification.
Visitor visa: A public policy will remain effective until February, 2023. As a result, candidates can convert their visitor visas within Canada to employer specific work permit.
Husband-wife sponsorship: Processing time for husband-wife sponsorship reduced to 15 months
LMIA pre-approved available: Restaurant Supervisor, Cook, Kitchen help.
