On 22 February 2024, Atty. Christine Joy Velasco of Lacdao and Velasco Law gave a lecture about the rights of LGBTQIA+. She inspired her fellow Roseñas to be of service to the community by joining the legal profession. The prestige in the legal profession does not come from the title “Attorney” but from the acts of service one imparts to others. St. Rose of Lima once said “When we serve the poor and the sick we serve Jesus. We must not fail to help our neighbours, because in them we serve Jesus.”
