Quand l’ à la est entravé, quand la des est minimisée, quand la tarde ou fait défaut, l’égalité recule.

Chez GILLET-LEX, nous refusons que le droit demeure théorique.

Nous croyons en une justice qui protège réellement, qui écoute réellement et qui répare réellement.

Le combat pour les droits des femmes n’est pas périphérique.

Il touche au cœur même de notre conception de la justice.

During the joint session of the and Commissions, Vinciane Gillet Avocate presented:
“Custody Disputes and Mental Health: The Belgian Perspective – When Family Law Meets Psychiatry: Navigating Uncertainty.”

She spoke alongside Simon Bruce, Gustavo Santillana, Sofia Perez, Beatriz de Silva, Stephanie Caballero, Roberta Poza and Andrew Grosso.

The session was moderated by Carolina Marín Pedreño and Eliana Silva Moraes.

• Medical expenses and responsibilities in divorce;

✨ Réunions à Barcelone du Comité exécutif et du Conseil de Présidence de l’Union Internationale des Avocats ( ) ✨

Le 18 septembre 2025, en sa qualité de directrice de la communication de l’ , Me Vinciane Gillet a participé aux réunions du comité exécutif et du conseil de présidence.

Les travaux ont porté sur :
✅ les activités de l’UIA-IROL et le fonds de dotation,
✅ un échange avec les leaders du barreau de Barcelone (ICAB),
✅ les rapports institutionnels (présidence, finances, adhésions, partenariats),
✅ la préparation des prochains congrès (Guadalajara 2025, Marrakech 2026, Bruxelles 2024, Tokyo 2028),
✅ les séminaires, webinaires et les activités de l’UIAcademy,
✅ le développement des commissions et comités (LGBTQI+, Women, NextGen, Well-being, AI Task Force, Think Tank…),
✅ la communication et la stratégie digitale, ainsi que les publications (Juriste, Newsletter, ouvrages).

Un moment fort fut le briefing sur les entreprises et les droits humains, avec l’analyse de jurisprudences récentes de la Cour européenne des droits de l’homme.

Au-delà des rapports institutionnels, ces rencontres ont permis de riches échanges avec des confrères du monde entier sur les défis communs de notre profession : défendre l’État de droit et promouvoir les droits humains. 🌍⚖️

👉 Après presque 29 ans en droit de la famille, je confirme : certaines applis fabriquent plus de séparations que de couples heureux… et ça finit rarement sans juge 💼⚖️

Heureusement, l’humour nous sauve (et parfois la fidélité aussi 😉).

On March 14-15, I had the privilege of speaking at the XXI National Congress at in Venice, where we explored the of and its impact on . ⚖️

💡 Key takeaways from my intervention on Belgium's experience🇧🇪:

🔹 The modernization of the Belgian judicial system is not simple, as it requires political will and significant financial resources to implement recent advances such as JustCourt (virtual hearings) and JustJudgement (a centralized case law database)....

🔹 While digitalization enhances and to justice, it also raises concerns about , , and maintaining a -centered approach in family law disputes.

🔹 As for the of , it's crucial to distinguish between and in this context. , as applied in many countries, focuses on the precise application of the law on a case-by-case basis, relying on written statutes. In contrast, primarily relies on case law, where past judicial decisions serve as a reference to decide future cases. This fundamental difference has significant implications when it comes to integrating AI into legal decision-making, as algorithms may be influenced differently depending on whether the legal system relies on written law or judicial precedents.

🔹 Balancing technological progress with fundamental rights remains a major challenge for legal professionals.
