📢 Important Update: Student Visa Evidence Levels Changed (Jan 2026)

The Department of Home Affairs has updated Country Evidence Levels under the Simplified Student Visa Framework.

🔴 Now Level 3:
🇧🇩 Bangladesh
🇳🇵 Nepal
🇮🇳 India

🟡 Now Level 2:
🇱🇰 Sri Lanka

🔍 What does this mean for students?

If you are from a Level 3 country, you may face:

🔺Higher scrutiny of the Genuine Student (GS) criteria

🔺Stronger financial & academic evidence requirements

🔺Increased risk of visa delays or refusals if documentation is weak

💡 Key takeaway:
Proper course selection, a well-prepared GS statement, and clear financial documents are now more important than ever, especially for Level 3 applicants.

2025-26 State & Territory Nominated Migration Programs:

ACT: The ACT Nomination Program is open. ACT Migration updated its ACT Nominated Migration Program Occupation List (formerly the ACT Critical Skills List) on 13 October 2025.

NSW: The NSW Skills Lists were updated on 7 October 2025. Only minimal requirement changes have been made compared to last year.

NT: The NT has not yet received its full 2025–26 allocation. A small interim quota allows limited Subclass 491 nominations for onshore applicants with visa deadlines before 31 December 2025. Further openings will follow once the full allocation is confirmed.

QLD: Queensland will not open its 2025–26 program until the final allocation is confirmed. However, candidates can still submit a Registration of Interest (ROI).

SA: No new ROI applications are being accepted. Full program details will be announced once the final allocation is confirmed.

TAS: Tasmania has introduced clearer eligibility criteria and streamlined guidance, yet it remains the most complex program to interpret. The state operates six nomination streams (four onshore, two offshore), a priority attributes system (Gold, Green, Orange, Orange Plus), and three classification references — ANZSCO v.2013, ANZSCO v.2022, and OSCA (for occupations not listed in ANZSCO). Two occupation lists are active (Priority Roles and Health/Teaching), with a third expected soon.

VIC: The program is open, with the full 2025–26 allocation expected to be confirmed by Home Affairs in the coming weeks.

WA: Due to limited places, the 2025–26 program will remain closed until the Commonwealth issues the formal allocation.

অস্ট্রেলিয়ায় সেটেল হওয়া নিয়ে অনেকেই মেসেজ করেন।

তাহলে কিছু কথা একেবারে পরিষ্কার করে বলি—

👉 প্রথমে নিজের লোকজনের সঙ্গে কথা বলুন। আপনার ইচ্ছা আর উদ্দেশ্য পরিষ্কার করে নিন। আত্মীয়রা বলবে, “চলে আসো, আমরা তো আছি ।” কিন্তু বাস্তবে এখানে এলেই তাদের আচরণ বদলে যেতে পারে

👉 পরিস্থিতি ভালোভাবে বুঝে আসবেন। অনেকে ভাবে সহজে ক্যাশ জব পাওয়া যায়—এই ভুলে পা দেবেন না। আপনার ভিসা তে ওয়ার্ক এর লিমিটেশন থাকতে পারে I তাই একবার ধরা পরলে কিন্তু জামিন নাই I যে স্টেটে যাবেন, সেখানে মাসিক খরচ কেমন হতে পারে তার একটা ধারণা নিয়ে আসুন। আর্থিক সংগ্রাম এখানে বেশ ভিন্ন।

👉 স্টাডির জন্য আসলে অবশ্যই এক বছর চলার মতন টাকা সঙ্গে আনবেন। পরিবার, বাচ্চা নিয়ে এলে আরও বেশি খেয়াল রাখতে হবে। কারও ওপর নির্ভর করবেন না, কারণ এখানে সবাই ব্যস্ত।

👉 যতটা রঙিন মনে হয়, আসলে ততটা রঙিন নয়। আপনাকে জানতে হবে কীভাবে Network তৈরি করতে হয়, কীভাবে মানুষের জীবনের অংশ হতে হয়। যদি এমন মানসিকতা থাকে যে “আমি অমুকের ছেলে/মেয়ে, আমার বাংলাদেশ এ ১০ জন লোক কাজ করতো , আমি কিছু করবো না”— তাহলে দয়া করে আপনার আসার দরকার নাই । পরে কিন্তু পস্তাবেন I তবে হা, শিল্পপতি ছেলে মেয়েদের জন্য আমার কথা গুলো প্রযোজ্য নয় I

👉 কামলা মনোভাব নিয়ে আসবেন। চামড়া মোটা করে আনবেন। আপনাকে প্রো একটিভ হতে হবে I Finally, don't work hard, work smart
