Who is Mark Carney?
Mark Carney is a well-known Canadian economist and politician, with a remarkable career in global economic leadership. Before entering politics, Carney made a name for himself in the international financial world. He served as the 8th Governor of the Bank of Canada from 2008 to 2013 and went on to become the 20th Governor of the Bank of England, holding that position from 2013 to 2020. In addition, he chaired the Financial Stability Board from 2011 to 2018. With such a wealth of experience in global finance, Carney’s leadership is expected to breathe new life into Canada’s economic and political scene.
