With heavy heart, we announce the sad demise of Shathi Bhabi Sharmin Khan , the wife of Khaled Newaz, Shajib bhai. Inna Lillahee Waa Inna Ilaihee Rajeeun.

The bonding between Shajib bhai and LJ is long since before its very inception. Shathi Bhabi remained one of the closest family member of LJ family. She remained as a very good human being having high moral values. She has always been ever smiling, a very loving and caring image for all the members of LJ. The entire family of LJ is saddened by the news of her demise. May Allah SWT forgive her for the small sins if she had any and places her in the highest place in Jannah. The members of LJ shall remember their very own sister in their duas. Ameen.

 Qualifications and Credentials:

• Education: LLB (Honors) degree from a reputable university (preferably on English law, or from public universities, or BRAC, NSU only) either obtained in Bangladesh or abroad or acquired through external studies. Candidates who are called as Barristers-at-law will be given preference.

• Required work experience:

Duration of experience: 2-4 years of work experience at any leading corporate law firm(s) in Bangladesh.

• Nature of work experience:

- Knowledge in corporate matters, company law, banking law etc.;
- Drafting and vetting of corporate and commercial documents;
- Opinion writing;
- Managing and advising clients.

• Skills: the candidates must have:
- Ability to cope with work pressure;
- Analytical acumen capabilities and ability to interpret laws (including Acts, rules, orders, guidelines etc.) under relevant jurisdictions;
- Capacity for meticulous legal research;
- Excellent communication skills etc.

• Language Fluency: Fluent in written and spoken English is essential.

• Remuneration: Remuneration structure shall depend on the qualification and experience of the individual candidates.

The Legal Associate will be expected to work 5 days a week from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. approximately.

The Applicant should have the following experience/qualification:
1. Have diversified experience is drafting various agreements as per the instruction of the Client and the nature of the transaction;
2. Have experience in drafting and issuance of legal opinion in various legal matters including banking, insurance, BSEC, Foreign Exchange and company matters;
3. Have experience in vetting of different commercial agreements in relation to various contractual arrangements between different level of Clients;
4. Chamber experience of 2-3 years is highly preferred;
