“VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT”

Shihab Khan & Co Chambers is seeking two dedicated and qualified full-time Associates (male) for its litigation practice and related chamber work.

Available Positions:
One High Court Associate
&
One District Court Associate

Key Responsibilities-

• Managing, moving, and conducting litigations before the respective courts (District Courts/High Court Division).
• Drafting and vetting agreements, plaints, written statements, writ petitions, Revision/Appeal, Bail Petitions, Legal Notices etc.
• Conducting comprehensive legal research, case tracking, and case brief preparation.
• Other routine chamber assignments

Remuneration-

• Probationary Remuneration: BDT 30,000 per month for HC Associate & BDT 20,000 per month for District Court Associate (3-month probation period).
• Post-Probation: Increment as per chamber policy, based on performance.

Requirements & Qualifications-

• Education: LL.B. (Hons.)/LL.M./Barrister-at-Law from a recognized university.
• Must have requisite High Court and District Court permission/enrolment for respective positions.
• Experience: Prior active chamber and litigation experience relevant to the applied post is required.

VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT:

Shihab Khan & Co Chambers is looking for one Associate and one Junior Associate mainly for its high court and subordinate court-related legal works.
The selected applicants would be given responsibilities to conduct litigations in the court and will also be responsible for legal drafting, legal vetting, legal research, corporate drafting, and for providing other legal services.

EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Full-time.

REMUNERATION: Negotiable based on experience and qualification.

EDUCATION, ENROLMENT, AND EXPERIENCE:

ASSOCIATE: LLB (Hons) with Bar-at-Law (preferred), having at least 2 years of chamber work experience.

JUNIOR ASSOCIATE: LLB (Hons) with Bar-at-Law (preferred), having at least 1 year of chamber work experience.

**Applicants not enrolled with the Bar Council should not apply**.

Our head of Chamber Barrister Shihab Uddin Khan moderated one of the sessions on "The Politics of Survival" at the 'Bay of Bengal' conversation organized by the Center for Governance Studies (CGS). Mr. David Morris, CEO (Tasmania), Australia China Business Council, Australia and Mrs. Mariyam Nasir, Director General, Ministry of Education, Maldives were with him as speakers.

The conference had a truly global standard. The conference had diverse participation of participants from over 85 countries with the theme "Rivals, Ruptures, Realignments".
