Advocate Shoaib Rahman is a self employed Lawyer and also the Head of the Law Chamber namely ‘LAW CASTLE (LC)- ADVOCATE AZIZUR RAHMAN & ASSOCIATES’ based in Cumilla City. He has been participated as a Mayoral Candidate by the PROGRESSIVE DEMOCRATIC PARTY- PDP from his hometown in the Comilla City Mayoral Elections held on March 30, 2017. Advocate Shoaib Rahman collected an MP nomination form from the PROGRESSIVE DEMOCRATIC PARY- PDP to contest the 11th National Parliamentary Election from his home constituency, Cumilla- 06 (Adarsha Sadar) on 24 November 2018. Later, He has been nominated as a MP Candidate by the PROGRESSIVE DEMOCRATIC PARTY- PDP from his home constituency, Cumilla- 06 (Adarsha Sadar) in the 11th National Parliamentary Elections held on December 30, 2018. Advocate Shoaib Rahman has been actively involved in many socio-organizational activities. He was the Senior Vice President of JATIYA SANGBADIK SANGSTHA (JSS), (Bengali: জাতীয় সাংবাদিক সংস্থা), Cumilla unit, from 2012 to 2013, It is one of the leading Journalists Association of Bangladesh. Its founder and present President is Muhammad Altaf Hussain, a senior journalist of Bangladesh. He also served as the first Senior Vice-President of COMILLA YOUNG LAWYERS ASSOCIATION (CYLA) from 2012 to 2013, which he had founded along with other colleagues in 2012. Shoaib is also actively involved in national and international pro-bono works in the fields of human rights and fundamental freedom. He served as the Convener of LAW SUPPORT CENTER FOR HUMAN RIGHTS (LSCHR), Cumilla District, from 2011 to 2012. Currently, he serves as the President of LAW SUPPORT CENTER FOR HUMAN RIGHTS (LSCHR), Cumilla District, since 2012, a non-government legal aid and human rights organisation. He worked Pro bono on issues relating to eviction of slum dwellers, arbitrary arrest and detention, and abuse of process. He also focused on providing legal and social services to the disempowered, disenfranchised in Cumilla District. Moreover, He also provided legal advice and assistance on a regular basis to several corporation’s and the other commercial sector’s including Group of Company, Real Estate, Financial- Consultants Institutions, Agro- Fisheries etc. He is pleased to serve with his professional clients such as, Aman Group, Gold Silver Homes Limited & Silver Developers Limited, Green Banking Consultants Home Limited, JKS International Company Limited etc. Because of his professional excellence he has became relied with these sectors for conducting their important legal matters both in the High Court Division and in the District Court. It is mentionable that he had already been working as a Corporate & Litigation Lawyer with Prime Bank Limited (PBL) for “The Legal Care” (A leading corporate law firm of Barristers, Advocates & Legal Consultants), Dhaka Office with this service.
