Polly is a business lawyer with over 25 years’ experience working in the UK and Australia. Polly founded Counsel on Demand in 2013 to address the legal needs of small to medium sized businesses – bringing them the benefits of having their own legal counsel – on demand. Polly spent many years working in the corporate world as a commercial lawyer in a wide range of industries, including electricity,
transport, disability and the most recently the online sector. Most recently she has worked with small and medium sized enterprises, primarily within the commercial online business arena. Polly is a practising solicitor and a member of the Law Society of New South Wales. Her particular expertise is in commercial contracts, consumer and employment law, e-commerce and internet law, marketing law, privacy law and software development and licensing. As an effective communicator, Polly is passionate about breaking down and explaining complex legal issues and making them relevant for her clients. Polly has a particular interest in working closely with her clients to produce legal solutions which are effective on a practical and day to day level. Her belief is that legal documents and solutions need to match the risk and reality of each business, so that they become an integral part of that business.
