Bridging visa = important step on the journey to working in Australia!

Congratulations to our client, Petra from Germany. 🎉 She is a skilled Cabinet Maker, who has been granted a Bridging Visa while awaiting the outcome of her Skills in Demand Visa (Subclass 482) application.

The Bridging Visa allows Petra to remain in Australia lawfully after entering on a Business Visitor Visa, while her Subclass 482 application is being processed.

For many skilled workers already in the country, a Bridging Visa provides certainty and continuity while the Department of Home Affairs assesses their visa application, allowing them to work and relax in Australia.

Congratulations Petra, on reaching this important milestone! 🥳 We look forward to celebrating the approval of your Subclass 482 visa!!

If you are hoping to receive an invitation, now is the time to prepare.

An invitation is based on the information in your Expression of Interest (EOI).

It's essential to ensure your details are accurate, up to date, and reflect your current circumstances: your points score, work experience, English language results, or skills assessment.

Love is priceless, but applying for a Partner Visa certainly isn't.

Over the years, Australia's Partner Visa application fees have continued to increase, making it one of the most expensive visa applications in the migration program.

As of July 2026, the government application fee for a Partner Visa is $11,710 for the primary applicant. The good news is that this single application fee covers both the temporary and permanent stages of the Partner Visa process - at least for now!! Who knows what’s coming next. Remember, the Government can make changes any time!

Our advice: apply for the visa as soon as you’re eligible for it. Why wait and risk changes and price increases?

It's also important to budget for additional costs, such as health examinations, police clearances, and document translations where required.

When you are making such a significant investment in your future together, having the right migration strategy from the beginning can make all the difference.
