**BREAKING NEWS | Charges Withdrawn**

Police have withdrawn all charges against Bondi terror attack hero Ahmed Al Ahmed.

Mr Al Ahmed had previously pleaded not guilty to assault and intimidation charges arising from an alleged domestic incident. In Bankstown Local Court, the prosecution withdrew the charges after the complainant retracted his statement. Mr Al Ahmed agreed to a 12-month Apprehended Violence Order (AVO) without admissions.

This matter highlights that criminal proceedings can change significantly as evidence develops. Charges laid by police are not findings of guilt, and outcomes may be influenced by factors including the strength of the evidence, witness statements, and decisions made throughout the legal process.

If you or someone you know has been charged with a criminal offence, obtaining experienced legal advice at the earliest opportunity is essential.

🚨 BREAKING NEWS | MC TRIKS CHARGED WITH DOMESTIC VIOLENCE MURDER

Queensland rapper Ronald Cora, also known as MC Triks, has been charged with murder (domestic violence) following the death of his 27-year-old former partner at a home in Slacks Creek.

Police were called to the property shortly before 12.30am on Wednesday, where the woman was found unresponsive in a bedroom. Despite attempts by police and paramedics to revive her, she sadly died at the scene.

Police believe the woman died by asphyxiation.

Mr Cora, 37, was arrested and charged following the incident. It is understood he was the person who contacted emergency services.

Police have stated that the pair had previously been in a relationship but had separated some time before the alleged murder.

Mr Cora is expected to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court.

🚨 NEWS UPDATE | NSW POLICE POWERS EXPAND

Proposed changes in NSW would significantly expand police powers to access and extract data from mobile phones in certain circumstances, including during arrests, roadside stops and other lawful detentions.

The legislation would also allow police to access unredacted images from toll-road cameras and add NSW driver licence photographs to the national facial recognition database.

The Bill also proposes to double the maximum penalty for refusing to answer a question from the NSW Crime Commission to 10 years’ imprisonment.

NSW Police are also set to gain access to Universal Forensic Extraction Devices (UFED) technology, which can be used to extract data from electronic devices, as part of the Government’s stated aim of modernising the fight against organised crime.

These developments raise significant questions about privacy, digital evidence, police powers and the safeguards surrounding access to personal data.
