Navigating tenancy issues can be stressful, but you don’t have to do it alone. Our Tenant Advocates provide free information, advice and assistance to tenants experiencing problems with their residential tenancy.

If you are located in the Town of Bassendean, City of Kalamunda, City of Bayswater, Shire of Mundaring, City of Swan or Shire of Chittering, our Tenant Advocates may be able to help.

Last week, our Tenant Advocates and Energy Coaches joined the Swan Homelessness Week Event, a community lunch organised by the City of Swan, Indigo Junction and Karlup Aboriginal Corporation.

It was a great opportunity to connect with members of the community, have a yarn, and share information about the support Midlas can provide to people experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity.

A big thank you to everyone who stopped by our stall to have a chat!

Recently, our Energy Coach, Suan, was delighted to attend Swan Community Connect's Personal Care Event, where personal care products were distributed to 35 families doing it tough.

Suan brought along some Midlas goodie bags as an extra treat for families and took the opportunity to share information about the Energy Ahead program. Energy Ahead supports eligible Synergy residential customers experiencing financial hardship to improve the energy efficiency of their homes.

We're proud to connect with organisations like Swan Community Connect and support initiatives that make a real difference in our community.

We have some exciting news to share! 🤩

Our CEO, Angie, will be speaking at an Impact100 WA event about the incredible difference Impact100 grants have made to Midlas, and more importantly, to the people we support every day.

Thanks to an Impact100 grant, we were able to establish our Health Justice Partnership with St John of God Midland Public & Private Hospitals, embedding one of our lawyers within the hospital two days a week to provide free legal assistance to people experiencing, or at risk of experiencing, family and domestic violence.

Angie will be bringing the impact of the grants to life by sharing stories and important outcomes. You won't want to miss this!

And we're going to be showcasing some powerful outcomes from our granting, via some pretty special people and the fabulous organisations that they represent.
Introducing Angie Perkins, the passionate and fearless leader of Midlas.
You may remember these guys - their first grant from us was for the mobile office, providing detailed legal advice, right on the streets, wherever the homeless people needed them.
And then they came back with another fabulous idea - to provide FDV advice and support in the trusted and safe environment of a hospital. It's been a great success and Angie will be bringing the impact of our grants to life, sharing stories and important outcomes.
