GOULBURN this Sunday, we’re asking you to carry this message with us. 🩷

We're asking our Goulburn community to simply stand together.

To remind those grieving someone lost to su***de that they are not to blame.

They should not have to carry guilt.
They should not have to carry shame.
And they should never feel they have to explain their grief.

This Su***de Prevention Month, we also want to remind our community:

IT’S OKAY NOT TO ALWAYS BE OKAY.

Local businesses, workplaces and community organisations - we would love to see this poster displayed across Goulburn this Sunday. Send us a message and we’ll provide you with a copy.

Take a photo, Share it or Tag and use so we can see Goulburn standing together.

END THE STIGMA.

For the ones we lost.
For the people who carry them.
And for the people who may be struggling today

Su***de is far too complex to use a blanket statement of "A conversation could of saved their life"

Some people leave this world, but they never really leave us.

We carry them in the stories we tell.
In the songs that remind us of them.
In photographs, places, memories and little moments that suddenly bring them rushing back.

The Ones We Carry is a community remembrance gathering created by Girls Kickin Up The Country for those whose lives have been touched by su***de loss.

It isn't about having the right words.
It isn't about how long ago your loss was.
And you don't need to know anyone else attending.

It's simply a place to come together, remember the person you carry, and be around others who understand that grief doesn't follow a timeline.

There is nothing you need to say.
You are simply welcome to come.

9:00am – 11:30am
Windellama Community Hall

Registration is essential.

To attend, email [email protected] and let us know if there is a name you would like included on our memorial list.

Su***de is complex.

Checking in matters. Connection matters. But we need to be careful that awareness doesn't unintentionally become blame.

For those left behind, there can already be so many what ifs — one more call, one more question, one more coffee.

No friend, parent, partner or sibling should be made to feel responsible for another person's death.

This Su***de Awareness Month, let's make room for those left behind, too. 🤍

Introducing The Ones We Carry 🤍

Time simply does not erase the grief some of us are left with when we loose someone we love to su***de.

On Sunday 27 September, Girls Kickin Up The Country will hold the first The Ones We Carry. A morning created for those who have lost someone to su***de.

The morning will be to remember their story. To sit alongside people who understand and to remind one another that the people we lose continue to be carried with us.

📍 Windellama Community Hall
📅 Sunday 27 September 2026
🕘 9:00am
☕ Scones, a cuppa & coffee
