We are delighted to report that we have arranged for 19 TMLS students (Melbourne and North Sydney) to complete a 'virtual' pro bono engagement with the Capital Punishment Justice Project. (CPJP).
CPJP stands for a world without the death penalty and works to develop legal and policy solutions that will help save lives.
Our TMLS students will be working on a toolkit to accompany the Asia-Pacific launch of 'Gulity' later this year. It is hoped that the launch will be a simultaneous one. It is possible that the launch will be hosted from the TMLS in North Sydney. This is a very exciting opportunity for the Thomas More Law School!!

Dear Students

A number of your fellow TMLS students have now submitted their pro bono projects for the Global Legal Hackathon Challenge run by the Financial Times.

Here is a link to an article in the Financial Times on 21 May 2020 which details this exciting challenge https://www.ft.com/content/b1bb689e-99dd-11ea-871b-edeb99a20c6e.

The Global Legal Hackathon Challenge involved more than 2,500 participants from over 70 countries and nearly 300 projects.

The completion of these innovative projects has enabled numerous TMLS students to complete their pro bono commitments during the COVID-19 lockdown.

Wishing all of our TMLS teams the best of good fortune as the winners are announced!
