⚖️ FAMILY VIOLENCE AND SEPARATION: WHAT REALLY MATTERS?
Family violence is serious. If you or your children are unsafe, frightened, threatened, or experiencing coercive or controlling behaviour, safety must come first.
But when family violence is not genuinely an issue, repeatedly revisiting every argument, angry exchange, or unhappy event can sometimes shift the focus away from what needs to be resolved.
A Smart Separation means:
🤝 Ending hostilities where possible
🎯 Focusing on the issues that actually need resolution
💰 Working toward fair financial arrangements
👨👩👧 Prioritising the best interests and safety of your children
✅ Seeking sensible agreements as efficiently and cost-effectively as possible
The goal isn't to minimise genuine concerns. It's about dealing with the right issues in the right way.
If you're separating, seek appropriate legal advice and understand your options.
A Smarter Way to Separate.
That is the philosophy behind the Smart Separation System I have developed from
more than 40 years practising family law.
It doesn't mean ignoring family violence.
It means identifying the issues that genuinely matter, dealing properly with
them, and avoiding unnecessary conflict about those that don't.
If you are separating and would like to discuss whether a Smart Separation could
work for you, phone, text or email me for a free initial discussion.
