🎃 A Lawyer, a Witch, and Two Tiny Superheroes Walk Into a Halloween Event… 🎃

Today after work, I swapped my “lawyer hat” for the slightly scarier role of mum on a mission.

Finished drafting documents at 4:00pm.
By 4:05, I was negotiating with toddlers over which costume wasn't “itchy.”

By 4:30, we were sprinting out the door — half-fed, faces washed, water bottles in hand — to the Halloween event hosted by Ray White Seaford , Fresh 92.7 FM and Chris Picton MP

It was hot, the flies were auditioning for lead roles, and I may have cited “because I said so” more times than any legal precedent… but seeing my kids laugh, play & trick-or-treat made it all worth it.

It reminded me that while we lawyers spend our days solving other people’s problems, it’s these chaotic, joy-filled moments that really keep life in balance.

So here’s to all the working mums (and dads) — the ones racing from courtrooms to costume parties, juggling clients and candy buckets, somehow managing to make memories in the middle of the madness.

You’re doing it — briefs, broomsticks, and all. 🧙‍♀️⚖️🍭

This week, our office was brightened by a beautiful surprise — flowers from a client whose estate litigation matter recently came to a successful conclusion. A beautiful arrangement from Buds and Blooms.

Litigation, especially when it involves family and estates, is rarely easy. It takes resilience, patience, and trust to see it through. We were honoured to support our client during such a difficult time and to achieve an outcome that brought them relief and closure.

Who should you choose as your Power of Attorney?

It’s a decision that requires serious thought.
