🐎 UPDATE FROM THE RACES…

Following my earlier announcement that I had abandoned the office in favour of the races, I’ve now had several friends contact me with genuine concern about the possibility of running into a dash of “stormy weather on a spring day.’😂

Please rest assured… I arrived adequately prepared.

I have legal counsel on standby should any unexpected encounters, disputes, objections or other raceday incidents arise. ⚖️😂

So far, the only hostile negotiations appear to involve deciding which horse deserves my money. 🐎💸

All under control.
For now. 😉🥂
Been 20+years since I ventured into the custody compartment of the Kalgoorlie Courthouse on a weekend 😈😈😈 accompanied by the keys of course!!

🏇 Important business update:

Today’s attendance at the races is officially paying dividends. 💰😂

The files aren’t going anywhere.
The emails can wait.
The housework has survived this long.

And, quite frankly, if the horses keep performing like this, I may have just discovered a very effective alternative business model. 🤣🥂

Consider today’s activities strategic networking, market research and financial planning… with a little ch*****ne thrown in for professional development. 🍾

📞 A public service announcement about calling my office…

If you’ve tried to call and haven’t immediately reached me, please don’t panic. 😂

It’s not because I’m ignoring you.

It’s because I’m probably in Court, with a client, on another call, or actually doing legal work.

And here’s the really shocking part…

I don’t use an app.
I don’t use an AI booking system.
I don’t have an automated receptionist.
I don’t make you navigate 17 menus before you can speak to someone.

Because when you contact my office, you get me. A real person. From the very first point of contact.

Unfortunately, I haven’t yet figured out how to be in Court, meet with a client, answer the phone, return calls, respond to emails and do the actual legal work simultaneously. 🤣

So, if I don’t answer immediately, leave a message or send an email and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.

I am still a little old school around here.

No bots.
No algorithms.
No “your call is important to us” while you sit on hold for 47 minutes. 😂

Just me, my phone, my clients and a very busy inbox.

And honestly…I prefer it that way. ❤️

Lawyer life can be a tough gig. ⚖️

There are long days, difficult matters, challenging conversations and plenty of moments where you wonder if you’ve chosen the right profession!

But then there are the people you meet along the way. ❤️

The lovely clients who trust you with some of the most difficult and important moments of their lives, the people who take the time to say thank you, and the unexpected gestures of kindness that arrive when you least expect them.

Today, these beautiful flowers arrived at the office, with some extra little treats and a pair of beautiful smiles from my favorite Doc! — and they were a very timely reminder that the people you meet really can make it all worthwhile. 💐

Grateful for the lovely people who make the tough days a little easier.

Now… back to the files. ☕️⚖️

A little MIA… 👀

Thank you to everyone who has been checking in, sending messages and expressing concern about my recent disappearance from the usual office radar and court hallways. @

For the record — I was not in custody, I was not on the run, and no bail application was required. 😂

I’ve simply been exceptionally busy, squeezed in a quick trip interstate, and generally trying to keep all the plates spinning.

I’m now back in the office and returning to something resembling “normal” — although, I’m not entirely sure what normal actually looks like anymore! 😂

Thank you for your patience, the enquiries and, most importantly, for checking in. It is genuinely appreciated.

Now… back to work
