Before-school breakfast: toast, Nutella, and a strawberry face because apparently that’s the only way it is getting eaten today. 🍓🤪
This is basically also my job. Every day I sit across from people who are exhausted, running on no sleep, doing their absolute best to make something that’s falling apart look okay for the people who need it to.
Family law is a lot like making a strawberry face on toast at 6:00am. You’re not trying to make it perfect. You’re trying to make it work, for today, for the people you love.
If you’re in the thick of a separation and just trying to get through the mornings, that’s exactly who I’m here for. No judgement, just help.

Happy 6th Birthday to my 4th baby . 🎂. Reflecting on how I started this morning. Covid season ✅ A newborn and 2 toddlers ✅
Mid way through a masters degree ✅ Leaving stable employment, bootstrapped on a wish and a prayer (and a decade as a lawyer at that point) ✅ No clients ✅ An incredible husband who has supported me and our family through every up and down and sleepless night (there has been lots) while still managing to thrive in his own business ✅ A sense of humour and a strong desire to help others ✅ A trauma background that means breaking the intergenerational trauma cycle is the only option to model for my boys ✅

To every single client and there has been hundreds, our wonderful staff members past and current and to my friends who have supported me, trusted me, helped me with the juggle and cheered me along the way I am so incredibly grateful.

I feel fortunate everyday to be able to do this work supporting families while having the flexibility to also be there each day for mine.

Well worth a read on a really powerful and challenging topic. It’s why trauma informed practice is key to everything we do. Now looking for my next read, what books are you currently reading that you would recommend? 📚❤️
