Most serious workplace disputes start small.
A bit of tension between two colleagues. A manager and a staff member who stop talking. A team where collaboration quietly breaks down. None of it looks like a crisis at first.
Left alone, these don't fix themselves. They grow into grievances, bullying complaints, stress claims and resignations. By then productivity has dropped and the workplace feels tense.
I joined Greg Harford on the Canberra Business Podcast to talk about stepping in early. We covered what workplace mediation actually involves, why acting early beats waiting for a formal grievance or Fair Work, and how many of these problems are really a leadership gap.
The signal to act is usually simple. There's a hard conversation you've been putting off.
If that sounds familiar, the first conversation with me is always free.
Thanks to the Canberra Business Chamber for having me on.
