That’s a wrap on the 2026 soccer season ⚽️

As our first year sponsoring Diggers Football Club, we couldn’t be prouder to have been part of such a fantastic club and community. It’s been a season full of plenty of goals, laughs, learning and friendships 💚💛

A huge thank you to all the players, parents, coaches and volunteers who make this club so special. We’ve loved being able to support the club both on and off the field.

On a personal note, I’ve finished up another year of coaching my team that I’ve had for a few years now. Watching these kids grow, develop their skills and confidence and most importantly have fun is one of the highlights of my year 🫶🏼⚽️🥅

Happy 1st Birthday, Law on Lakefield!🥂

When I took the leap to start my own firm, I hoped to create a law practice that was professional, approachable, and genuinely client-focused. Looking back over the past 12 months, I couldn’t be more grateful for the trust so many individuals, families and businesses have placed in me.

📣💰Important Changes from 1 July 2026 📣🏡

Today, the Tranche 2 AML/CTF reforms bring legal practices into the federal anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing regime for the first time.

Like banks, financial institutions and real estate agents, law firms providing ‘designated services’ (such as conveyancing) will be required to verify our clients identities more extensively, conduct ongoing due diligence and meet new reporting obligations under the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Act 2006 (Cth).

What does this mean for you? 👇🏼

▪️We will need to verify your identity at the start of every new matter (and confirm details for existing clients). We are unable to provide any advice or act for you until this has been completed.

▪️Obtain information about the source of funds or the source of wealth.

▪️Ask additional questions about your transaction.

▪️Keep records as required by law and report to the governing body AUSTRAC.

We understand that some of these questions may seem more detailed than in the past. Please know that these requirements are imposed on us by legislation and are designed to strengthen protections against financial crime.

So the bad news is that this change is likely to affect you at some point or another, the good news is that we’re all in it together! ☺️ At Law on Lakefield, we will guide you through the process and make it as simple as possible.

🩷🧁 A little birthday note from me 🩷🧁

Today I’m taking a moment to celebrate another trip around the sun (and maybe sneak in a little cake between emails 😉).

Running Law on Lakefield as a one-woman show is something I’m incredibly proud of, and I’m so grateful for the continued support from my wonderful clients and community. It truly means the world to me to be trusted with such important moments in your lives.
