Behind every stunning bathroom reno... is a stack of council paperwork! 📝🚿

We love a beautiful green-and-gold aesthetic, but from a QLD conveyancing perspective, we see potential red flags:

1️⃣ Was the waterproofing signed off with a Form 16?

2️⃣ Were the plumbing lines moved without council notification?

3️⃣ Does the contract protect the buyer if these works are unapproved?

In Queensland, the standard contract doesn’t automatically protect buyers from unapproved internal renovations. Don't risk inheriting a leaking, unapproved DIY job. Send us the contract before you sign! ⚖️

However, while buying off-plan offers early entry and growth potential, it comes with specific risks. We recommend asking these questions first:

1️⃣ How much can the final price increase (sunset clauses, etc.)?
2️⃣ What are the definitive finishes, and can they be changed?
3️⃣ When will the build complete, and what happens if it is delayed?
4️⃣ Will the finished property actually match the 3D renders I saw?
