Here at Caxton, we're proud to support the The Indigenous Literacy Foundation by Celebrating Indigenous Literacy Day!

If you're in or around Brisbane City today, visit our pop-up Book store at Turbot Place, 179 Turbot Street. Our team will be here till 4pm today selling pre-loved books that have been donated by our fellow tenants and staff.

Be a force for social justice and make a real difference.

We are seeking volunteer lawyers and barristers to join our Evening Advice Service, particularly, those experienced in Employment Law and Family & Domestic Violence Law.

Volunteers at Caxton provide high-quality, free legal advice grounded in a client-centered, social justice ethos. This is also an opportunity for them to work alongside some of Brisbane’s best legal minds.

The Evening Advice Service operates on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings. Appointments run from 6–9 pm.

We're looking for a Paralegal and Intake Worker to join our Workers' Rights Service Team

This role will be responsible for direct client communication, obtaining initial client information, triaging client need, facilitating access to services, making appointments, liaising with service stakeholders (including courts) and providing tailored legal information and referrals.

Other responsibilities will include supporting the lawyers and social workers with legal/advocacy tasks (e.g. drafting documents/letters, preparing briefs, court assistance), legal and policy research, practical and administrative assistance.

Benefits include:

🟠 Four weeks of annual leave per annum plus leave loading
🔵 Salary sacrifice a portion of base salary (up to $15,900)
