🚫 Counterfeiting | IP Global Forum 2025

Counterfeiting is not simply an intellectual property infringement.

It affects businesses, consumers, brand value, fair competition and, in many sectors, public safety.

That is why Counterfeiting was one of the key topics of IP Global Forum 2025.

The panel addressed the issue from a practical perspective, bringing attention to the challenges right holders face in protecting their intellectual property and enforcing their rights in the marketplace.

It was a conversation about protection, enforcement and responsibility — and about why effective IP protection matters far beyond the legal community.

As we look back at last year’s discussions, we are also getting ready to start a new one.

A television production may appear on screen as one finished work — but behind it are numerous creative contributions, contracts and intellectual property rights.

At last year’s IP Global Forum, our IP in TV panel explored the intersection between intellectual property law and the television industry.

The discussion brought attention to the legal questions that arise throughout the life of audiovisual content — from creation and production to ownership and commercial use.

Most importantly, the panel brought together legal expertise and the perspective of people working directly within the industry.

Because understanding IP means understanding how it actually operates beyond the legal texts.

Who owns the music we listen to?

Behind every song, performance and recording lies a complex network of intellectual property rights - involving authors, performers, producers, platforms and many others.

At IP Global Forum 2025, our IP in the Music Industry panel brought the legal and industry perspectives together to discuss how intellectual property works in practice in one of the world’s most dynamic creative industries.

Copyright, ownership, licensing, exploitation of rights and the realities faced by those working in the music sector were all part of the conversation.

Looking back, this panel reflected exactly what we want the IP Global Forum to be: a place where law meets the industry it is designed to protect.
